Petronas player Ruzenan Abu Bakar emerged champion in AIZEK Open (SMK Tengku Intan Zaharah Dungun) which concluded yesterday.Ruzenan scored 7.5 points from 8 games to become a champion base on better tie break from second place winner Abdullah Che Hassan who also scored 7.5 points.Both players drew when the met in the exciting game in the last round.Third place won by Fairul Yusuff with 7 .Mohd Khairul Nazrin won the under 17 category with 6 points and second place won by Muhammad Aminurashid Hassan.Prize winner for under 14 was won by Mohd Aiman Zakwan.

Kuala Terengganu Chess League 3rd round winner

The 3rd round of Kuala Terengganu chess league also ended this afternoon right after the Maksak chess event.Visiting Abdullah Che Hassan easily won this event .Here is the full result.Next round will be play on Thursday at K.T.Beach Resort.Full result here.Dont forget guys tomorrow is AIZEK open about 180 participants already register.This event will be play at SMK Tengku Intan Zaharah in Dungun

AHMAD RIZAL MAKSAK TERENGGANU CHAMPION

New Maksak Terengganu Champion Ahmad Rizal Othman

Ahmad Rizal Othman of Jabatan Perangkaan Malaysia (Terengganu Branch) emerged champion in the Maksak Terengganu chess championship,Rizal gained 5 points from 6 game with two drawn with Abdul Rahim Ramli and Khairul Hafiz.Abdul Rahim Ramli finished second with 4.5 points followed by Norazmi Mohd Nor also 4.5 points.Only 18 players from 5 goverment department took part in this event.


The Maksak Malaysia championship will be play at Kota Bharu on 17th to 18th in Kota Bharu.Terengganu is expected to defence the title to equal Kuala Lumpur record.All result here.

More Malaysian chess players are now listed in the FIDE rating list.In particularly 5 more Terengganu players are now listed in the list.They are Ahmad Rizal Othman,Fairul Yusuf ,Abdul kadir Jailani Ramli , Mohd Khairul Nazrin A Nashir and Wan Aizuddin Wan Razali.Top in the list Nor Ilhamuddin Shaik Ali with 2020 (rank 43 )and Md Hafez Hilmi Harun with 1994 (rank 55).Here is the list of rated Terengganu players.

1.Kejohanan catur Maksak Terengganu at Stadium Negeri on 3rd Julai.
2.Liga Catur Kuala Terengganu at Stadium Negeri on 3rd Julai
3.Kejohanan Catur Terbuka Aizek in Dungun 4th Julai.
